The Village Garden Club of Amherst will hold its annual Garden Fest on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Amherst County Historical Society’s Hamble Center on Main Street, Amherst. Members grow plants throughout the year which are then sold to the public during this event. On sale will be perennials, annuals, native plants, trees, shrubs, houseplants, cacti, herbs, tomatoes, other vegetables and more.
The sale is a great time to purchase gifts for Mother’s Day in our Boutique area. This year we will have for sale special already prepared and wrapped themed baskets suitable for Mother’s Day gifts, as well as many other garden related items. All proceeds from the sale support the Club’s local gardening projects, including the Rt 60 traffic circle garden, as well as donations to 4-H summer camp scholarships.
